Mission Field Visit, must for Mission Supporter - National Missionary Society of India

1.    INDIVIDUALS
2.    FAMILIES
3.    PRAYER CELL GROUPS
4.   Church Groups/ Youth Groups/ Mens Fellowship/ Womens Fellowship

For the past 8 years I am visiting various Mission centre’s every year along with family members or with area committee Conveners & Supporters. The Main aim is to encourage and re-view the mission work done at the respective mission fields.

The Bible says in “Romans – 10th Chapter Verses 12 to 15:-

“…… the same Lord of all richly blesses all who call on Him. V 13 For, “Everyone who calls on the Name of the Lord will be saved/. V 14 How, then, can they CALL on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written; How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good News!”

The Benefit of Field visit:-

  1. Mission Field visitors to support and contribute for infrastructure development works needed in the mission centre.

How to Plan a Mission Centre Visit by a team:-

  1. The Date & Month to be decided by the teams.
  1. Letter to be addressed to General Secretary for knowing the availability of the missionary and the mission Centre.
  1. The NMSI (H.Q) will provide you with the various needs of the particular mission centre.
  2. The Team should start the process of

  1. Prayerful Planning
  2. Prayerful Preparation
  3. Prayerful Execution

  1. It is also suggested to visit nearby mission field and NMSI Hostel Children’s Homes with gifts.
Our Family Team Visit to Kolli Hills in May 2014.

As a family we visited ‘Kolli Hills’ mission fields from 27th of May to 29th May 2014. The Journey was tricky a fascinating experience as Kolli Hills is popular for the 72 odd Hairpin bend road ways. As we drove higher and higher up the mountain, we were all marvelling at the wonders of God’s Creation. The chain of mountainous terrain and the people residing in these Hills are unique in their own way.

We were able to visit Four of our NMSI Mission field where we have our own Land, a church building attached with a missionary quarters.

  1. Thannimathi Patti Mission Field.
Missionary - Mr.A.Premkumar, M.A & Mrs.S.Beula, M.A.,M.Phil.,B.Ed

  1. Asakatupatti - Mr.Moses Kannapan & Mr.M.Emmima

  1. Arripalapatti Mission Centre – Mr.Gnanasekar & Mrs.G.Uma, B.Th

  1. Uthakadai Mission Centre – Mr.M.Swaminathan & Mrs.S.Victoria-Nurse.

We spent time with the missionaries and their families, prayed with them and encouraged them and distributed gifts.

Especially most of them being well educated themselves choose to live for the Lord in the difficult mountainous Terrain where after 6.00 pm there is no light but darkness only.

The people here are deep rooted in superstitions religious beliefs and its tradition and so accepting Jesus as the one true being God is not easy.

Inspite of all the drawbacks our NMS missionaries here have done a great job in imparting Gods word to the people through.

1. Medical Mission Work.
2. Night School Coaching Classes.
3. Newly established computer coaching centre imparting basic Computer Training.

Apart from this A boys Hostel which was raised by Rev.Dr.Yok Fellow D.Eliahs of ‘Dr.Paul Brand memorial mission is helping our NMS mission work at Kolli Hills.

I humbly request every one of you to pray for the NMSI missionary work especially the work at Kolli Hills.

Thanking you,

(Er.M.M.SELVAKUMAR)
